For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The water was running all night in my Sons bathroom. The noise was so loud and irritating. I called Select Yesterday and told them. First thing this morning a plumber came and repaired a pipe. I highly recommend The plumber and Select. Quick and Easy

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY. IF YOU DO....READ ALL THE FINE PRINT WHEN THE POLICY COMES. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE OLDER APPLIANCES. THEY MIGHT NOT BE COVERED OR WILL BE PRORATED. SOME PEACE OF MIND THAT IS. I have been without hot water for a week. Ok, it's the 4th of July week and I had to wait. I was told that the service technician would be here today between 9 AM and 11 AM. After 1030 AM I called the company to see when they would be here and was told I was the next customer. I called again at 1 PM when no one came and they would not answer the phone. I called SELECT and they could not contact their contractor and when they did.....I was told they would be here by 4 PM.... Read More

My Fridge was semi cold no matter how high it turned on. Select said they would have a tech call me right away. That's exactly what happened. The fixed it and saved all my food.

I bought my personal home warranty and rental home warranty. Every time I had terrible experience. This company either find a way not to pay or they delay so much. If they pay then will pay only small claim which is not worth it since you pay $45 for service call. Make sure you go thru every fine prints before you sign up. I had pool claim which was denied, I had fridge claim which was denied, I had washer, claimed 3 weeks ago, someone came to fix it couple of days ago after called multiple time and I was told that fixed it and problem still exist. Called them again and I was told to take $100 cash and use it fix it my self and no one will fix it for $100. Basically this warranty is good... Read More
