I have this company ... two claims and no follow up. They told the one service company not to talk to me to go directly through them and I had to call to learn that my claim was denied. And, I was waiting to get my pool pump fix ... more cost to me cause I needed more chemicals ... I still yet to hear from this company
SCAM !! SCAM !! BIG SCAM !! Worst warranty company you can expect ever. I had 3 different companies so far for my home warranty and this is worst of all. I bought a warranty for $354 in March-2016 with 2 addional months free as they advertise. In May-2016 My AC went down with bad capacitor. In the month of May the temperature is above 95 degree in Florida. I opened a claim on Thursday and couldn't get contractor until Satruday and those contractors did not work in the weekend. So I called SHW and they said get your own contractor and they will reimburse with receipt and all. So I did and paid $200 to with receipt to some local AC repair company and then submitted... We have Select Home Warranty, we have had three different issues, one with our garage door, another with our garbage disposal and our refrigerator ice maker. Each time we called they stated they did not cover any of these items. Okay so why do we have this warranty company it is worthless. With our garage door they finally gave us a $100 check and made us sign an agreement that we would not sue. With our garbage disposal we called last week and they said they would get someone there. A day went by and no one called so we called Select Warranty back and they said oh we don't cover that? First they said they would and then they said the would not??? When we bought the house, the seller had purchased one year through Select Home Warranty. So, we stayed with them. The claim process was very easy. When I made the arrangements for the claim, my husband was home and he said the service man was very nice. He came in, and did the work. There were no issues with him at all. It was a very pleasant experience.
The companies that SHW dispatched were awesome. My most recent claim has been for an issue with my furnace. The company that they sent out is still trying to fix some issue, as it was more than just the igniter part.
DO NOT USE THEM! I signed up in November after we bought our house. I was told there were plenty of service providers in my area. Now I have been trying to get my dishwasher serviced since Mid-March, I had to play phone tag to even see if what I wanted checked (dishwasher was not washing dishes on the bottom rack and was making a loud noise when drying and dishs were not drying) was covered. When I got through they told me "we don't' cover noises". I asked what about the dishes not getting cleaned?! They replied "that's not what you told us". So fast forward another two weeks and I receive a call saying there were no service people in my area and they would email me information to secure... Read More
Submitting a claim with Select Home Warranty was straightforward and the reps were good. Everything we've had, they've been able to fix. They've been great and whenever people mention it, I always recommend them.
I was pleasantly surprised to get help so promptly. HVAC contractors get very busy when the seasons change! The young man who came to us was neat, uniformed, professional, polite and friendly. He had the problem fixed in less than an hour.
When I called, the representative understood my needs and responded quickly to send the contractor out to my home in a timely manner. Very professional contractor and knowledgeable.
I made a claim with SHW for my dishwasher and ice maker on the fridge. The technicians that came were very knowledgeable, professional and got the job done. They worked in a timely manner, very clean, and organized. Since the repairs, everything's working superbly.
