Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! There is a reason this company isn't accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Our A/C blower fan stopped working and for 2 WEEKS, SHW kept saying they were looking for a technician. The truth is, they don't have any because repair companies do not want to work with SHW. SHW kept telling us to get our own technician and they will reimburse us. We finally did due to the record heat and the technician said it was due to normal wear and tear because the motor was old. Beware! make sure you read contract terms carefully! I live in newer home 10 years old and recently had issue with the blower unit of my furnace. Contacted Select to start a claim and 1 week later got a tech to come diagnos my unit. Thank goodness it wasn't winter! Well, the tech disassembled my unit and determined the blower motor was bad. He left to get another unit and when he returned he side he could not finish install until Select gave him authorization? I then checked my email and Select wanted 3 years of maintenance records or pictures of ther unit which I provided.no one has made any attempt to contact me to keep me updated so I called and was in formed the Select was not going to... I am a Realtor in Texas and I have signed up many clients with Select in the past year. The last 5 transactions have been horrible. Their customer service is horrible and the their repair center is just as bad. I would never recommend them to any of my clients or Realtors.

I would write a review and rate it 0 stars if possible but I agree with all those one star ratings since I got treated the same way. Promise you peace of mind and got nothing but a headache. I just hope new customers read these reviews and if you also rated this company a one start please take the time like I did and report it to the BBB also.

An awful company to deal with and do not cover a lot as it it listed. I called during the weekend and I was told the people that can access my account do not work during weekend. Do not get them and if you do please read the fine prints as they do not cover a lot. STAY AWAY!!

I have been trying for over a month to get reimbursed for my toilet it cost $731,they say every time I call that there is no supervisor available,I have Faxed the bill to them 5 times and even sent a certified letter,they can find no records.This company is a complete fraud I would suggest anyone but them.

They have awful service. We will never renew with this company. They use inferior contractors. When you call Select for status, the representatives are clueless. They don't keep track of their work orders. When you call they can't find your requests. Very poor service they need to be shut down.

Save yourself some aggravation and do not contract with Select. They will give you such a hassle on all the claims that you make...not worth it. American Shield is much better. Run from Select.

Absolutely horrible company. I would not recommend. When I originally signed up they told me the warranty on my home would begin the day of closing. Had an issue the first week and called. They told me oh your policy does'nt begin until 15 days after they receive the check from the title company. Wait 15 days and call back, next person says 30 days from closing. I ask for them to send me something in writing to that affect. They send an automated email that i've canceled my policy. Call back again they said sorry was sent in error.
