Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

this company has got to be the worst example of a home warranty u could possible buy. on claims they give u the run around by transferring calls-hanging up or giving u false info. on my claim for a plumber after 15 calls,they told me it would be a week to a week and a half before they could get a plumber to my house. I asked to talk to a supervisor on 5 different calls and either was transferred to a voice mail or given false info or just ahang up. I even called rep who sold me policy and he transferred me to claims rep. don't recommend this company.

This company is a complete scam. They act as though you are getting a great deal when signing you up. When it comes to actually using the warranty they are awful the customer service is very inconsistent. No one has knowledge of your previous calls. I spoke to a manager and he gave authorization for work to be done and they would reimburse me after. Once it was done he said it was not covered. The manager was very negligent

The service of this company is beyond TERRIBLE!!! Do not spend your money on this warranty. They sent 2 inexperienced repair people and finally when at their suggestion I hired my own person they only partially covered the cost. I spent 4 months and 30 plus phone calls for a simple repair.

I have been trying for two days now to file a claim. On the first call I was told by a foreign person with incredibly poor English speaking skills that, "our system is down and we can't process any claims - try again tomorrow". When I asked him to take a phone claim he said, "we don't do that". Really? I paid this company a LOT of money to at the very least - process my claim. Incredible. Then I called back the next morning and got another foreigner from a call center in a country that doesn't speak English. Several bad experiences have accumulated. 1. Hidden costs. Would charge me two visit fees to fix two toilets....other companies charge you just one. 2. Did not fix garbage disposal and gave me 50 to replace it which obviously did not cover the item and labor to install it. 3. Did not fix my dryer. Their contractor said it was too expensive to repair. They gave me the choice to cash out (gave me only 120) and it was up to me to repair or replace. I ask their contractor (the one they assigned how much to repair because it was a pair and i did not want to replace). They first quoted 270. have been attempting to make my first request for service. Made multiple calls at various times - computer out of service, no one available to take down information, no supervisor available. They promise to call but never do I am filing complaints with the Attorney Generals of PA and NJ which is where the home office is, AARP, FTC and anyone else I can think of DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

Spend a little more and stay away from SELECT HOME WARRANTY. I have had them for a year and had 3 claims. They denied one and paid the absolute minimum on the other two. I have been in my house for almost 2 years and they said that because I don't have 3 years of maintenance on my heater they will only cover 150 dollars and not the 1500 that it would cost. They have horrible customer service. Just ask a service provider which company is the best to deal with. I read reviews and noticed the 24 hour response time, and thought this would be a great home warranty company. I loved the $45 co-pay, where we have always had a $75 or $100 copay with our other company. The salespeople were very quick to answer phone to make a sell. We put our primary residence on plan first. After a month or so went by, decided to add our second home. We paid for 2 years up front because of the discount and received 6 months free. I just tried to use them for the first time. (Plumbing) Hot water in master tub would not shut off. I requested a claim twice to get this fixed. Select Home Warranty is maybe the worst Home Warranty Company on the Planet. Their call center is in another country where they don't seem to understand American English, and the time delay is so bad it's hard to even tell them what you are calling about. I've been calling and emailing them for over two days just to get the referral to a Local Las Vegas Plumbing Company with no success. I can't even get anyone to call back. Kitchen is getting water damaged, and they can't even get their contracted Plumber to give me a call! Don't buy their service plan!

This is a terrible company and do not buy anything from them. They just find reasons to not pay. I have submitted claims and they just keep me on hold and when I need to speak to any manager, I am put onto a Voice message machine probably with no real manager. I have left about 10 VMs to this person supposed to be the manager called Jermly. This is a bad bad company from a customer service standpoint and even from paying back to customers in the name of Claim
