Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

My 1st claim for my ac; No one called me back to come out and fix. I had it repaired on my own. I'm currently on hold on a sat morning for 18 min for my 2nd attempt at a claim. The recording claimed that the 1st wait time was 4 min. I was put back on hold and the wait time stated 10 min. This is sad. This is not poor management. This is neglect. You pay up front for the discount. Once Select has your money, there's no reason to deliver. Smart scam. 21 min. Still no answer.

I am a Realtor and signed up for Select Home Warranty. Do not use thisc ompany! I called in my first work order on MONDAY the company never had anyone call me until Wednesday. My washer was putting out smoke and water on Monday. When the repair man called me on late Wednesday, he informed me that the company should have someone from Fort Myers, because I live in the Cape. He never came out to look at my washer. I made many phone calls to the company. By the end of the day on Wednesday evening, after sending them pictures, text, and emails of the make and model of my washer, I finally touched based with nother Washer Repair man. My garage door stopped working suddenly so I called to make a claim, scheduling someone for a repair took almost 2 weeks.. I paid the $60 service fee for a technician to come and fix it, and they denied me telling me it was installed incorrectly even though I'd paid hundreds for a professional installation a few years ago. And now, even though the technician told me it had been installed incorrectly, they are trying to say it was the breaker that shorted, and that I need an electrician sent out for another $60. When our heater stopped working, I called Select Home Warranty and through the automated system, a contractor called me back in just a few hours. The contractor responded quickly and was able to fix the problem. I am happy with the results and it reinforced my decision of keeping a home warranty.

This is the worse home warranty company that you can ever have. The billing staff is rude and so is the claims status. They will try all aspects for like weeks to delay your claim. If they send they will send a the cheapest technician. I have had such a bad experience with claim and escalation that its just worth the cheap price that they offer. Pay $50 more and go with some other company.

This is by far the worst home warranty company out there. Take a look at the numerous complaints filed by the Better Business Bureau. They use sub-standard vendor to come out to your home, many learn from the internet, as they tell you. This is not the qualified technician I want fixing anything in my home. I have had some come out and don't even get their tools, just tell you nothing is wrong and collect their money and go. Find a better company, I did.

My contractor showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired my washer. I have had this same contractor previously. Each time, he arrives within the timeframe agreed, is always professionally dressed and makes recommendations on how to extend the life of my appliances.

Select Home Warranty is great. Recently, we had an issue with our hot water heater. My husband contacted SHW and right away, a local plumber was giving us a call. We recommend SHW to our friends and continue our contract each year, Thanks.

We've only had one claim, which was when our toilet was not working correctly. I called Select Home Warranty and they sent someone over within the day. We were able to fix the problem and I've not had any issues since.
