Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This is the worst home warranty. They hardly cover anything. And forget about anything being an emergency, they will get back to you in 24-48hrs.

ANY NEW POTENTIAL CUSTOMER: Please read all of the "fine" print before signing up with this company. What they market is not the reality, even for their Platinum plan. Never heard of so many exclusions before... I enrolled in this service after doing a lot of research last February. I went to make a claim on my water heater that has started leaking. I was trying to be proactive and get it fixed before the whole things goes bad. I was informed that they will not cover a leaking water heater. I was advised to review 6.2.7 in my contract. This is yet another sorry and fraudulent home warranty company. Sales person sold me on a bill of goods so to speak, saying that coverage was holistic and yet when I made a service call on my heater the claim was denied and they did not honor their word of mouth. Further when I tried to escalate the issue, I never got a call back and had to call them only to be further frustrated by their lack of professionalism in handling the matter.

This is rediculous! I did a ton of reasearch on home warranty companies before I paid for this one. My first claim for my dishwasher was denied and now they are saying my hot water heater is denied! I am waiting for a call from a supervisor now to tell me why and where is it that it is not covered! I own a real estate brokerage and deal with a lot of companies and after 2 claims I am NOT recommending this one. When you call they cannot find your information and I have not gotten any phone calls from anyone at this company to schedule or discuss anything. You just wait and wait and finally you have to call to be told its not covered! Run from this one! I am waiting for a call back in the... Read More

They don't bother to inform you that the coverage does not go into effect for thirty days. Then they don't tell you about the limits for the first three months and then the coverage increases some after that depending on the item. All of this starts over every year. Beware of what you are getting into.

RUN AWAY - this company will rip you off! Furnace failed and it took 4 days to get a technician to the house (with an infant in residence), then denied the recommendation of THEIR OWN technician! He told them the whole system had to be replaced as it was old. After hours of arguing about a part that "wasn't covered" we chose to cancel. Later that day we got a call from Mr. Gold who offered a "second opinion" at their expense, to come out. The second technician said the same as the first and shut the furnace down as it was dangerous. MR. GOLD and Jamil dodged our calls for another day and then continued to deny the recommendation of the second technician! We paid $2000 in advance for a five... Read More

We purchased the 3 year warranty with Select and wasn't sure if we would need it or not. Well, we did. Twice in 1 week. The contractors they got us for our air conditioner took the time to meet our 3 very big, very possessive dogs....which impressed me from the start. The second time we called was about our heating unit (just a few days after getting the air conditioning fixed). I requested the same contractors, explaining that they know our dogs, and Select had no problem honoring my request. Everyone at Select is very nice and very helpful. I will also say that Select didn't have to cover the air conditioning problem because what we needed was a scoop on the vents...the problem... Read More
